Daily Photo #448

We really need to return to Kenilworth Castle (on a sunny day).

It was pretty windy but the weather and light was perfect. It's very overcast today and lacklustre outside but it's warm and toasty inside the house. I think staying in will be the only option today.

Taken at last year's China Festival in Birmingham.

I just like the motion this photo has. I fancy a bit of movement as opposed to still life today.

Daily Photo #446

I managed a walk down to the village and did some chores around the house today, which is quite an achievement. Given that I have had 6 nights of pretty much deep and undisturbed sleep (10 hours per night!), I feel a little mental fortitude returning and a bit of a better outlook. I will try two more nights on the doctor prescribed "knock me out" sleeping pills (in conjunction with the ADs).

So, in view of this positivity here is a photo of Linda taken on my Birthday in 2005.

This was shot on Carnaby Street in London, one of our favourite haunts when in the capital.

I found this in the Hockley area of Birmingham.

I think the pathos in this image really comes across. Eventually, all our efforts are consumed or lost in the sands of time. Perhaps it's not what we do but the manner in which we go about achieving it?

Something a little lighter today.

It will be a few months before we get to see these again.

Daily Photo #443

In contrast to yesterday's post, I chose this landscape for way it lends a slightly more "muted" colour palette.

A view of Lady Liberty from the Staten Island Ferry. I think it fits with my mood of feeling a little blue today. Sleep pattern is better but cannot shake the melancholia today.

Daily Photo #442

Managed to hit town today for lunch and comic books. Had a funny reaction to new sleeping tablets which made me a bit nauseous so may migrate back to the old ones (I have to take them in conjunction with the anti-depressants as they cause insomnia).

Still, feeling a touch better than I did a few hours ago which is good. Funny thing with being off work is that I am losing all track of time at present. The days pass quite strangely.

Anyway, we watched the Bernard Rose movie Paperhouse last night. It had such a fantastic dream like quality that I had to track down something on my photo stream to equal it.

The intense blue sky gives this one an almost hyper real feel to it. Vivid but still quite dream like.

I haven't shot a photo since December 28th 2008. This needs to be addressed soon.
